DIY Eco Wreath

This month we’ll be celebrating the run up to Christmas in true Smart Skin style, with a conscious effort. We have lots planned so make sure to check back and keep an eye out on our Instagram to hear first.

Today we’re bringing you a really simple yet effective craft you can make at home. A DIY Eco Wreath.

Firstly you’re going to want to collect greenery & blooms to decorate. Now this could be a trip to your local florist, taking secateurs to your garden or even collecting interesting fallen greenery on a walk. Mix up textures and shapes for the best results!

You’ll also need:

- Florist wire
- Natural wreath base

How to:

Start with your longest pieces of decoration and create two bunches, wrap florist wire around the base of each bunch to keep them in place.

Lay your wreath on a flat surface and place the bunches where you would like them to be fixed. We opted for a lower central placement. Go back in with your florist wire to attach these in place.
Build up more detail with smaller elements. Pinecones, dried orange slices and autumnal flower look beautiful as a centred focal point.

And you’re done! Just like that you have a Pinterest worthy wreath. The most lovely part is you can pack the base away and bring it out year after year.
Make sure to tag us if you give this craft a go! We’d love to see.
